Abstract: We analyzed Hong Kong Exchange buyback activity for the week ended May 8th, covering repurchases across 77 companies totaling HKD 3,003 million. This was +26.2% above the prior week's HKD 2,379 million, though the number of participating companies declined 3.7% week-on-week. The top three repurchasers for the week were China Hongqiao (1378 HK) at HKD 1,202.8 million, AIA (1299 HK) at HKD 453.9 million, and Xiaomi (1810 HK) at HKD 200.0 million. Over the past 30 days, AIA led with HKD 4,390 million in buybacks, followed by Xiaomi at HKD 2,159 million and Tencent (700 HK) at HKD 2,002 million, out of a 30-day market total of HKD 14,123 million across 108 companies.
