Hong Kong Buybacks Weekly (Apr 17th): AIA, Xiaomi, Gushengtang

Abstract: We analyzed Hong Kong stock buyback activity for the week ended April 17th, covering repurchases across 70 companies totaling HKD 2,922 million. This represents a 31.3% decline from the prior week's HKD 4,256 million, with the number of participating companies edging down 1.4%. The top three repurchasers for the week were AIA (1299 HK) at HKD 1,461 million, Xiaomi (1810 HK) at HKD 697 million, and Gushengtang (2273 HK) at HKD 80 million. Over the past 30 days, Tencent (700 HK) led with HKD 3,800 million in buybacks, followed by AIA at HKD 2,725 million and Xiaomi at HKD 2,121 million, with aggregate 30-day repurchases reaching HKD 15,739 million across 109 companies.
