Hong Kong Buybacks Weekly (Jun 18th): Tencent, Li Auto, Xiaomi

Abstract: We analyzed Hong Kong stock buyback activity for the week ended June 19th, covering repurchases across all timeframes from 1 week to 1 year based on HKEx daily reports. Total buybacks last week amounted to HKD 3,883 million across 105 companies, a decline of 48.7% from HKD 7,563 million the prior week. The top three repurchasers over the past 7 days were Tencent (700 HK) with HKD 2,503 million, Li Auto (2015 HK) with HKD 459 million, and Xiaomi (1810 HK) with HKD 406 million. Over the past 30 days, Tencent led with HKD 9,745 million, followed by AIA (1299 HK) at HKD 7,004 million and Xiaomi at HKD 1,808 million, out of a total HKD 29,350 million across 158 companies. Over the trailing 12 months, Tencent dominated with HKD 68,403 million in buybacks, representing 1.33% of shares outstanding, followed by AIA at HKD 18,047 million and Xiaomi at HKD 15,694 million, with total market buybacks reaching HKD 158,934 million across 297 companies.
