Abstract: We analyzed TWSE short interest for stocks with market cap of at least USD 100m as of Aug 14th, with aggregate short interest of USD 43,852m. Aggregate short interest increased 0.4% week-on-week, contrasting with a 3.6% gain in the TWSE index. The largest short by value was Wiwynn at USD 1,995m, followed by Quanta Computer at USD 1,491m. The biggest weekly increase in short value was Zhen Ding Technology (up USD 163m), followed by ASE Industrial (up USD 155m) and Nan Ya Plastics (up USD 130m). The largest weekly decrease was Quanta Computer, which saw short value fall USD 1,029m, a 40.8% reduction week-on-week.
