Abstract: We analyzed TWSE short interest for stocks with market cap of at least USD 100m as of Jul 31st. Aggregate short interest totaled USD 40,970m, down 4.8% week-on-week, while the TWSE index fell 1.2% over the same period. On the increase side, TSMC saw the largest rise in short value at +USD 251m (+26.2%), followed by Hon Hai Precision at +USD 167m (+36.7%) and LARGAN Precision at +USD 147m (+22.3%). On the decrease side, Winbond Electronics led with short interest falling USD 295m (-29.6%), followed by Quanta Computer at -USD 190m (-7.3%) and Wiwynn at -USD 187m (-10.0%). Zhen Ding Technology and Realtek Semiconductor also saw notable short covering, declining USD 129m (-33.2%) and USD 165m (-14.7%) respectively.
