Abstract: We analyzed changes in foreign holdings of KRX stocks as of May 22nd, with total foreign holdings across stocks with market cap of at least USD100m at USD1,554bn, up USD34bn (2.2% WoW), while the KOSPI index gained 4.7% over the same period. We estimate net foreign flows were outflows of USD10,868m for the week, indicating foreigners reduced exposure even as the market rose. The largest outflows were concentrated in Samsung Electronics (USD5,063m outflow), SK Hynix (USD4,302m outflow), Hyundai Motor (USD526m outflow), Mobis (USD402m outflow), and LG Electronics (USD286m outflow). On the inflow side, Samsung SDI led with USD224m of inflows, followed by Doosan Robotics (USD142m), FADU (USD122m), ECOPRO (USD91m), and Hyundai Eng & Const (USD82m).
