Hong Kong Buybacks Weekly (Sep 11th): Bilibili, Tencent, Bidu

Abstract: We analyzed Hong Kong stock buyback activity for the week ended September 11th, covering 132 companies that repurchased a combined HKD 3,213 million in shares, up 28.2% from HKD 2,506 million the prior week. The top three buyback names for the week were Bilibili (9626 HK) at HKD 784 million (1.62% of shares outstanding), Tencent (700 HK) at HKD 502 million, and Bidu (9888 HK) at HKD 200 million. Over the trailing 30 days, Tencent led with HKD 3,907 million in repurchases, followed by Bilibili at HKD 784 million and Kuaishou (1024 HK) at HKD 724 million, with total 30-day buybacks reaching HKD 10,567 million across 162 companies. Over the past 365 days, Tencent has repurchased HKD 60,117 million (1.22% of shares outstanding), Xiaomi (1810 HK) HKD 17,829 million, and AIA (1299 HK) HKD 13,635 million, with aggregate annual buybacks totaling HKD 158,530 million across 347 companies.
