Abstract: We analyzed Hong Kong Stock Exchange buyback data for the week ended July 31st, covering 72 companies that repurchased a combined HKD 646 million in shares. This represents a 45.6% decline from HKD 1,189 million the prior week, with the number of participating companies also falling 33.3%. The top three repurchasers for the week were Link Reit (823 HK) at HKD 122.8 million, Forest Cabin (2657 HK) at HKD 73.3 million, and Xiaomi (1810 HK) at HKD 50.0 million. Over the trailing 30 days, Tencent (700 HK) led all repurchasers with HKD 2,220.5 million, followed by Kuaishou (1024 HK) at HKD 521.8 million and Xiaomi (1810 HK) at HKD 450.5 million across 172 companies totaling HKD 8,288 million.
