Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows for the week ending September 4th, estimating total mainland investor inflows of USD 1,718.9 million into Hong Kong stocks, 49.8% higher than the USD 1,147.4 million recorded two weeks prior and the second consecutive week of net inflows. The HSCEI returned 0.1% over the same period. On the inflow side, Zj Innolight led with USD 367 million, followed by Tencent at USD 262 million, AIA at USD 254 million, Minimax at USD 180 million, and Yofc at USD 140 million. On the outflow side, Knowledge Atlas saw the largest exit at USD 172 million, followed by Hua Hong Semi at USD 123 million, CCB at USD 122 million, Alibaba at USD 118 million, and ICBC at USD 111 million. By sector, Information Technology attracted the largest inflows at USD 787 million and Communication Services at USD 617 million, while Health Care led outflows at USD 281 million.
