Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows for the week ending September 24th and estimate total net inflows of USD 2,121.3 million into Hong Kong stocks by mainland investors. These inflows were 45.9% higher than the USD 1,453.6 million recorded two weeks prior. Inflows have now been positive for five consecutive weeks, compared to a 0.9% HSCEI return over the same period. The largest individual stock inflows went to Knowledge Atlas (USD 899 million), Bidu (USD 689 million), AIA (USD 278 million), Hua Hong Semi (USD 165 million), and China Resources Land (USD 131 million). The largest outflows were from Chinagoldintl (USD 176 million), CNOOC (USD 138 million), Petrochina (USD 109 million), and Xiaomi (USD 102 million).
