Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows for the week ending September 18th, estimating net inflows of USD 933.4 million into Hong Kong stocks by mainland investors. Inflows declined 66.0% from USD 2,742.6 million two weeks prior and came against a -2.3% return for the HSCEI over the same period, extending a run to four consecutive weeks of net inflows. The largest individual inflows went to Knowledge Atlas (2513 HK, USD 568 million), AIA (1299 HK, USD 271 million), and Zj Innolight (3308 HK, USD 152 million). The largest outflows were from Innovent Bio (1801 HK, USD 164 million), Beone Medicines (6160 HK, USD 157 million), Hua Hong Semi (1347 HK, USD 151 million), and Cspc Pharma (1093 HK, USD 144 million). By sector, Information Technology led inflows at USD 879 million, while Health Care recorded the largest outflows at USD 270 million.
