HK Connect Flows Weekly (Sep 11th): Smic, Bidu, Hua Hong Semi, Zj Innolight, Xiaomi, Tencent

Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect holding data as of September 11th and estimate total weekly inflows of USD 1,368.8 million into Hong Kong-listed stocks by mainland investors. These inflows were 61.0% higher than the USD 850.1 million from two weeks prior and represent a third consecutive week of net inflows, against a -1.1% return for the HSCEI over the same period. On the inflow side, Bidu (9888 HK) led with USD 301 million, followed by Zj Innolight (3308 HK) at USD 182 million and Xiaomi (1810 HK) at USD 174 million. On the outflow side, Smic (981 HK) saw the largest selling at USD 306 million, with Hua Hong Semi (1347 HK) at USD 258 million and Tencent (700 HK) at USD 159 million.
