Abstract: We analyzed TWSE short interest for stocks with market cap of at least USD 100m as of September 18th. Aggregated short interest was USD 41,461m, up 4.7% from USD 39,610m a week prior, outpacing the TWSE index which rose 2.2% over the same period. The largest weekly increases in short value were in Winbond Electronics (+USD 208m), Nan Ya Plastics (+USD 202m), and Global Unichip (+USD 201m). The largest decreases were in LARGAN Precision (-USD 272m) and Wistron (-USD 251m). By total short value, Innolux (USD 1,215m), TSMC (USD 1,193m), and Wistron (USD 1,152m) ranked as the most shorted names.
