Thailand Short Interest Weekly (Apr 24th): SCB X, True, CP ALL, Bumrungrad Hospital, SCC, Scb X, Scc

Abstract: We analyzed short interest data for the Stock Exchange of Thailand as of April 24th, covering stocks with minimum market capitalization of USD100 million and minimum short interest of USD5 million. Aggregate short interest totaled USD3,165 million, down from USD3,303 million the prior week. Short interest declined 4.2% over the week, a larger move than the SET50 index which fell 1.8%, suggesting net short covering outpaced the broad market decline. The largest short increase was SCB X (SCB TB), up USD29 million (+24.1%) to USD147 million, while the largest decrease was Delta Electronics (DELTA TB), down USD55 million (-14.0%) to USD339 million. Other notable increases include Krung Thai Bank (KTB TB, +USD13 million) and Bumrungrad Hospital (BH TB, +USD5 million), while CP ALL (CPALL TB, -USD32 million) and SCC (SCC TB, -USD26 million) saw significant short reductions.
