Abstract: We analyzed short interest on the Stock Exchange of Thailand as of April 17th, covering stocks with minimum market capitalization of USD100 million and minimum short interest of USD5 million, finding aggregate short interest of USD3,337m. Short interest decreased 4.0% week-on-week, outpacing the SET50 index decline of 0.7%. The largest short by value was Delta Electronics (DELTA TB) at USD393m, which also saw the biggest weekly decrease of USD65m (-14.2%). SCB X (SCB TB) recorded the largest weekly increase, rising USD16m (+15.8%) to USD118m, with a z-score of +2.0 standard deviations above its mean. Gulf Energy Development (GULF TB) saw the second largest weekly decrease at USD15m (-19.8%), while Advanced Info Service (ADVANC TB) added USD5m (+3.0%) in short interest.
