JPX Margin Trading Weekly (Jun 5th): Kioxia, SoftBank, Disco, Ibiden, Mitsubishi UFJ Financial

Abstract: We analyzed JPX margin trading positions for stocks with market cap of at least USD 100m as of Jun 5th. The aggregated net margin trading position was USD 32,394m, up 4.9% from USD 30,876m a week prior, while the TOPIX 500 index declined 0.2%. 1,191 stocks saw margin loan positions increase while 851 saw decreases. The top net long positions were led by Kioxia (285A JP) at USD 6,238m and SoftBank (9984 JP) at USD 1,355m. The largest weekly increases in net margin loans were Kioxia (up USD 311m) and SoftBank (up USD 293m), while the largest decreases were Disco (6146 JP, down USD 122m) and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial (8306 JP, down USD 104m).
