Abstract: We analyzed JPX margin trading positions as of Jun 26th, covering stocks with market cap of at least USD 100m. The aggregated net margin trading position stood at USD 32,057m, up 1.1% from USD 31,695m the prior week, while the TOPIX 500 index declined 2.1% over the same period. Among individual stocks, 991 saw margin loan positions increase and 1,032 saw decreases. The largest net long positions were held in Kioxia (USD 7,948m), SoftBank (USD 1,339m), Fujikura (USD 906m), Tokyo Electron (USD 675m), and Nintendo (USD 611m). The biggest weekly increases in net margin loans were in Kioxia (up USD 2,159m), SoftBank (up USD 258m), Tokyo Electron (up USD 147m), Disco (up USD 103m), and Taiyo Yuden (up USD 98m), while the largest decreases were in Fujikura (down USD 130m), McDonald's (down USD 108m), Skylark (down USD 103m), Japan Tobacco (down USD 82m), and Sanrio (down USD 57m).
