Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows for the week ending June 26th, estimating total inflows of USD 2,354.9 million into Hong Kong stocks by mainland investors, a reversal from outflows of USD 596.7 million two weeks prior. This occurred against a -5.8% return of the HSCEI over the same period. By sector, Information Technology led inflows at USD 4,044 million, while Consumer Discretionary saw the largest outflows at USD 1,898 million. The top inflow stocks were Kingboard (148 HK, +USD 1,364 million), Kingboard Laminates (1888 HK, +USD 1,195 million), TraHK HSI ETF (2800 HK, +USD 1,130 million), and Smic (981 HK, +USD 776 million). The top outflow stocks were Alibaba (9988 HK, -USD 1,200 million), Tencent (700 HK, -USD 558 million), China Mobile (941 HK, -USD 388 million), and CNOOC (883 HK, -USD 355 million).
