Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect holding positions as of July 3rd, covering all market, HSCEI, mid-cap, and small/mid-cap stock groups. Mainland investors recorded net outflows of USD 590.8 million from Hong Kong stocks last week, a reversal from inflows of USD 964.1 million two weeks prior, against a -4.5% return of the HSCEI over the same period. On the inflow side, Kingboard Laminates (1888 HK) led with USD 705 million, followed by Smic (981 HK) at USD 681 million, Kingboard (148 HK) at USD 484 million, Hua Hong Semi (1347 HK) at USD 229 million, and Knowledge Atlas (2513 HK) at USD 215 million. The largest outflows were concentrated in ETFs and large-caps, with TraHK HSI ETF (2800 HK) seeing USD 1,521 million in outflows, Alibaba (9988 HK) USD 670 million, HSTECH ETF (3033 HK) USD 502 million, and China Mobile (941 HK) USD 259 million. By sector, Information Technology attracted the strongest inflows at USD 3,645 million, while Consumer Discretionary and Funds led outflows at USD 1,420 million and USD 1,185 million respectively.
