HK Connect Flows Weekly (Jun 18th): Alibaba, Kingboard Laminates, Knowledge Atlas, Kingboard, CNOOC

Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows for the week ending June 18th, estimating total inflows of USD 677.2 million into Hong Kong stocks by mainland investors, 53.5% higher than the USD 441.2 million recorded two weeks prior, extending a streak of three consecutive weeks of inflows. The HSCEI declined 1.2% over the same period. On the inflow side, Kingboard Laminates (1888 HK) led with USD 542 million, followed by Knowledge Atlas (2513 HK) at USD 526 million, Kingboard (148 HK) at USD 482 million, TraHK HSI ETF (2800 HK) at USD 397 million, and Yangtze Optical Fibre (6869 HK) at USD 166 million. The largest outflow was Alibaba (9988 HK) at USD 1,064 million, followed by CNOOC (883 HK) at USD 403 million, China Mobile (941 HK) at USD 259 million, and Lenovo (992 HK) at USD 181 million. By sector, Information Technology led inflows at USD 1,952 million, while Consumer Discretionary recorded the largest outflows at USD 867 million.
