HK Connect Flows Weekly (Jun 12th): Tencent, Kingboard, Knowledge Atlas, Alibaba, Smic, Ke, Kingdee

Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows for the week ending June 12th, estimating total inflows of USD 1,347.7 million into Hong Kong stocks by mainland investors, 51.2% lower than the USD 2,759.6 million recorded two weeks prior, representing the second consecutive week of inflows against a -5.1% return of the HSCEI over the same period. Information Technology led sector inflows at USD 1,463 million, followed by Financials at USD 532 million and Communication Services at USD 403 million, while the Fund category saw the largest outflows at USD 966 million. The top inflow stocks were Tencent (700 HK, +USD 659 million), Kingboard (148 HK, +USD 447 million), Knowledge Atlas (2513 HK, +USD 413 million), Yangtze Optical Fibre And-H (6869 HK, +USD 285 million), and Kingboard Laminates (1888 HK, +USD 273 million). The largest outflows were from TraHK HSI ETF (2800 HK, -USD 410 million), Alibaba (9988 HK, -USD 362 million), Smic (981 HK, -USD 358 million), HSTECH ETF (3033 HK, -USD 319 million), and HSCEI ETF (2828 HK, -USD 279 million).
