Abstract: We analyzed TWSE short interest for stocks with market cap of at least USD 100m as of May 22nd. Aggregate short interest was USD 46,763m, up 7.1% week-on-week, compared to the TWSE index gain of 2.7%, indicating short sellers added exposure faster than the market rose. Among the largest weekly increases, Quanta Computer (2382 TT) saw the biggest jump in short value, rising USD 290m (+30.3%) to USD 1,248m, followed by Wiwynn (6669 TT) at +USD 180m and Yageo (2327 TT) at +USD 150m (+70.2%), the latter now at 0.5x ADT. On the covering side, LARGAN Precision (3008 TT) saw the largest short reduction at -USD 121m (-16.3%) to USD 622m, followed by Fubon Financial (2881 TT) at -USD 91m and Winbond Electronics (2344 TT) at -USD 88m. King Yuan Electronics (2449 TT) and Shin Kong Financial were also highlighted for notable short interest changes during the week.
