Abstract: We analyzed changes in foreign holdings of TWSE stocks as of May 22nd, with total foreign holdings across stocks with market cap above USD100m at USD2,141bn, up from USD2,103bn a week prior. We estimate net foreign flows were outflows of USD826m for the week, while foreign holdings increased USD38bn (1.8% WoW), underperforming the TWSE index which rose 2.7%. The largest weekly outflows were concentrated in TSMC (minus USD2,625m), MediaTek (minus USD572m), and UMC (minus USD399m), while Compeq Manufacturing (plus USD384m), Unimicron Technology (plus USD333m), and United Integrated Services (plus USD281m) led weekly inflows. Over four weeks, Hon Hai Precision dominated inflows at plus USD3,302m while TSMC sustained the heaviest outflows at minus USD11,131m. On a 52-week basis, Yageo recorded the largest foreign inflow at plus USD14,598m, while TSMC saw the largest outflow at minus USD39,246m.
