Abstract: We analyzed changes in foreign holdings of TWSE stocks as of May 15th, covering names with market cap of at least USD100m. Total foreign holdings stood at USD2,103bn, down from USD2,143bn a week ago, a decline of USD40bn or 1.8% WoW, while the TWSE index fell 1.0% over the same period. We estimate net foreign flows were outflows of USD1,715m for the week. The largest outflow was from TSMC (2330 TT) at -USD2,800m, followed by Asustek Computer (2357 TT) and Wiwynn (6669 TT) each at -USD408m, King Yuan Electronics (2449 TT) at -USD324m, and MediaTek (2454 TT) at -USD315m. On the inflow side, Hon Hai Precision (2317 TT) led with +USD747m, followed by Global Unichip (3443 TT) at +USD386m, Winbond Electronics (2344 TT) at +USD373m, BizLink (3665 TT) at +USD285m, and Fubon Financial (2881 TT) at +USD218m.
