Thailand Short Interest Weekly (Jun 5th): PTT E&P, Advanced Info Service, Gulf Energy Development

Abstract: We analyzed short interest data for the Stock Exchange of Thailand as of June 5th, covering stocks with minimum market capitalization of USD100 million and minimum short interest of USD5 million. Aggregate short interest stood at USD3,127 million, down 4.7% from USD3,280 million the prior week, while the SET50 index rose 1.5% over the same period. The largest short positions by value were held in Delta Electronics (USD428 million), Airports of Thailand (USD258 million), Advanced Info Service (USD155 million), SCB X (USD153 million), and CP ALL (USD134 million). The biggest weekly decreases in short value were in Advanced Info Service (down USD34 million, -18.0%), PTT E&P (down USD32 million, -19.4%), and SCB X (down USD18 million, -10.4%), while Bangkok Bank saw the largest increase (up USD11 million, +16.1%). By short position relative to average daily turnover, Minor International (7.9x ADT), Land and Houses (7.4x ADT), and BTS (6.8x ADT) ranked highest.
