Abstract: We analyzed short interest data for the Stock Exchange of Thailand as of Jun 19th, covering stocks with minimum market capitalization of USD100 million and minimum short interest of USD5 million, and estimate aggregate short interest of USD3,219m. Aggregate short interest increased 1.9% week-on-week, while the SET50 index was flat at 0.0%. On the increases side, Gulf Energy Development saw the largest dollar increase (up USD28m, +45.0%), followed by CP ALL (up USD14.5m, +10.9%) and Minor International (up USD13.0m, +10.2%). BCPG and Gulf Energy Development led on z-score of share count change, at +4.5x and +3.2x sigma respectively, with PTT GlobalChem also notable at +1.7x sigma and up USD6.5m (+18.8%). On the decreases side, SCB X saw the largest reduction (down USD23m, -15.9%), followed by Delta Electronics (down USD16m, -3.6%) and Advanced Info Service (down USD8m, -4.6%). By absolute short value, Delta Electronics remains the most shorted stock at USD443m, followed by Airports of Thailand at USD275m and Advanced Info Service at USD159m.
