Abstract: We analyzed short interest changes on the Stock Exchange of Thailand as of July 3rd, covering stocks with minimum market capitalization of USD100 million and minimum short interest of USD5 million. Aggregate short interest totaled USD3,131m, up 0.2% from USD3,125m the prior week, while the SET50 index rose 4.8% over the same period. The largest short positions by value were Delta Electronics (USD416m), Airports of Thailand (USD249m), and Advanced Info Service (USD152m). The biggest weekly decreases in short value were Airports of Thailand (down USD28m, -10.0%), SCB X (down USD25m, -25.6%), Minor International (down USD11m, -8.3%), SCC (down USD9m, -8.6%), and Bumrungrad Hospital (down USD7m, -7.8%). The largest weekly increases were Bangkok Dusit (up USD17m, +13.4%), Kasikornbank (up USD12m, +11.4%), and PTT E&P (up USD11m, +9.6%).
