Abstract: We analyzed changes in foreign holdings of KRX stocks as of September 4th, with total foreign holdings of USD1,643bn across stocks with a market cap of at least USD100m. We estimate net foreign flows were outflows of USD2,855m for the week, while foreign holdings rose USD4bn (0.3% WoW), outperforming the KOSPI index which declined 1.5%. The largest weekly outflows were in SK Hynix (minus USD1,582m), Samsung Electronics (minus USD447m), Samsung Elec Preferred (minus USD421m), and Samsung SDI (minus USD256m). The largest weekly inflows were in Woori Financial (plus USD825m), SK Innovation (plus USD98m), and KAL (plus USD43m).
