HSI Index Earning Revision (May): ICBC, MEITUAN, BYD Electronic, LI AUTO, XIAOMI, CCB, Kuaishou

Abstract: We analyzed the earnings revisions of HSI component stocks for May 2026, estimating the index's 2026E EPS at HK$2,199 as of end-May, up 0.12% month-on-month from HK$2,196 in April. The HSI index fell 1.7% over the month, from 25,777 to 25,328, with 47 stocks seeing upward EPS revisions versus 28 downward. The top positive contributors to index EPS were CCB (+HK$2.99), ICBC (+HK$2.60), and HSBC (+HK$1.95), while the largest detractors were MEITUAN (-HK$4.32), XIAOMI (-HK$3.27), and Kuaishou (-HK$1.96). At the stock level, the sharpest EPS upgrades were MEITUAN (+314%) and Orient Overseas (+16.6%), while the deepest cuts were LI AUTO (-27.5%), BYD Electronic (-22.1%), and Kuaishou (-8.3%). On revenues, Innovent Biologics led upgrades (+5.97%) while CK Infrastructure saw the steepest decline (-9.02%).
