HSI Index Earning Revision (Sep): AIA, LI AUTO, PING AN, ICBC, ORIENT OVERSEAS (INTERNATIONAL), BIDU

Abstract: We analyzed the September 2026 earnings revisions for HSI index component stocks, estimating the index 2026E EPS fell 2.7% month-on-month from HK$2,223 to HK$2,163, as the HSI itself declined 4.1% from 25,567 to 24,510. Individual stock EPS revisions contributed -HK$2.41 to the index EPS change, with 42 stocks revised up against 40 revised down. The largest negative index EPS contributors were PING AN (-HK$9.3), BIDU (-HK$6.5), and AIA (-HK$6.0), while ICBC (+HK$6.7) and WEICHAI POWER (+HK$5.8, newly added to the index) were the top positive contributors. On individual EPS revisions, LONGFOR led gains at +1,440% and LI AUTO rose +44.3%, while ORIENT OVERSEAS (INTERNATIONAL) gained +24.9%. On the downside, XINYI GLASS fell 15.2%, BYD ELECTRONIC fell 7.2%, and BIDU fell 4.8%.
