TWSE Foreign Holding Weekly (Jun 18th): Nanya Technology, Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing

Abstract: We analyzed foreign holdings of TWSE-listed stocks as of June 18th, covering names with market cap of at least USD100m. Total foreign holdings stood at USD2,322bn, up USD107bn (4.8% WoW), while the TWSE index gained 5.2% over the same period. We estimate net foreign inflows of USD2,726m for the week, reflecting broad buying across the Taiwan market. On the inflow side, the top weekly buyers were Nanya Technology (+USD772m), Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing (+USD606m), MediaTek (+USD503m), ASE Industrial (+USD357m), and TSMC (+USD298m). On the outflow side, Global Unichip saw the largest weekly selling (-USD598m), followed by Zhen Ding Technology (-USD323m), BizLink (-USD308m), Powertech Technology (-USD305m), and Wistron (-USD290m).
