Abstract: We analyzed changes in foreign holdings of TWSE stocks as of April 17th. Total foreign holdings stood at USD1,852.6bn, up from USD1,771bn a week ago, an increase of USD81bn (4.6% WoW), outpacing the TWSE index gain of 3.9%. We estimate net foreign flows were inflows of USD4,200m for the week. The top weekly inflow stocks were TSMC (2330 TT, +USD1,018m), MediaTek (2454 TT, +USD725m), Yageo (2327 TT, +USD402m), Alchip Technologies (3661 TT, +USD338m), and Nan Ya Plastics (1303 TT, +USD293m). The top weekly outflow stocks were Unimicron Technology (3037 TT, -USD396m), Chroma ATE (2360 TT, -USD380m), Compeq Manufacturing (2313 TT, -USD245m), Nanya Technology (2408 TT, -USD211m), and Macronix Intl (2337 TT, -USD178m).
