Thailand Short Interest Weekly (Jul 31st): TISCO Financial, Kiatnakin Phatra Bank, Krungthai Card

Abstract: We analyzed short interest changes on the Stock Exchange of Thailand as of Jul 31st, covering stocks with minimum market capitalization of USD100 million and minimum short interest of USD5 million. Aggregate short interest totaled USD3,344m, up 2.7% week-on-week, while the SET50 index declined 0.4% over the same period. The largest short positions by value were Delta Electronics (USD448m), Airports of Thailand (USD205m), and PTT E&P (USD179m). The biggest weekly increases in short value were in Gulf Energy Development (+USD11m, +8.5%), Kiatnakin Phatra Bank (+USD9m, +27.1%), TISCO Financial (+USD9m, +34.0%), and Thanachart Capital (+USD8m, +107.9%). The largest short reductions were in Delta Electronics (-USD6m) and Airports of Thailand (-USD6m).
