HK Connect Flows Weekly (Apr 24th): China Mobile, CCB, ICBC, CNOOC, Pop Mart Intl, Tencent

Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows for the week ending April 24th, estimating net inflows of USD 683.1 million into Hong Kong stocks by mainland investors, against a 1.5% return of the HSCEI over the same period. This week's inflows were 78.2% lower than the prior week's USD 3,127.4 million, representing the second consecutive week of net inflows. By sector, Financials led inflows at USD 459 million, followed by Information Technology at USD 362 million, while Funds saw the largest outflows at USD 583 million. The top inflow stocks were China Mobile (USD 461 million), TraHK HSI ETF (USD 449 million), CCB (USD 383 million), ICBC (USD 294 million), and CNOOC (USD 248 million), with Pop Mart Intl also seeing notable inflows of USD 244 million. On the outflow side, Tencent led at USD 209 million, followed by Geely Automobile at USD 99 million and Xiaomi at USD 92 million.
