Abstract: We analyzed southbound Hong Kong Connect flows as of April 17th, estimating net inflows of USD 528.5 million into Hong Kong stocks by mainland investors, a reversal from outflows of USD 1,289.2 million two weeks prior. The HSCEI returned 3.1% over the same period. By sector, Information Technology led inflows at USD 352 million, followed by Financials at USD 310 million, while Funds recorded the largest outflows at USD 438 million. Top inflow stocks were Pop Mart Intl (USD 310 million), China Life (USD 302 million), Xiaomi (USD 192 million), SMIC (USD 168 million), and CCB (USD 126 million). Top outflow stocks were Tencent (USD 299 million), YOFC (USD 152 million), China Hongqiao (USD 119 million), and Ping An Insurance (USD 109 million).
