ASX 200 Index Earning Revision (Sep): Evolution Mining, Woodside Energy, BHP, Santos, Austal

Abstract: We analyzed the earnings revision of ASX 200 component stocks for September 2026, estimating that individual stock EPS revisions contributed A$44.0 to the index's 2027E EPS, which rose 8.9% month on month to 540.7 from 496.4. The ASX 200 index declined 3.2% over the period, with 77 stocks seeing upward EPS revisions versus 84 downward. The largest positive contributor to index EPS was Evolution Mining (EVN AU), with a 662% month-on-month EPS revision adding A$39.5 to index EPS, followed by Woodside Energy (WDS AU, +A$2.1), BHP (BHP AU, +A$1.5), and Santos (STO AU, +A$1.2). On the downside, Telix Pharmaceuticals (TLX AU) saw the steepest EPS cut at -66.8%, while Develop Global (DVP AU, -42.6%) and Liontown Resources (LTR AU, -31.2%) also posted significant reductions. Revenue revisions were mixed, with Develop Global (+18.2%) and Telix Pharmaceuticals (+15.2%) leading gains, while Vulcan Energy Resources (-14.6%) and Washington H Soul Pattinson (-10.0%) saw the largest declines.
