Abstract: We analyzed JPX margin trading positions as of Jul 3rd, covering stocks with market cap of at least USD 100m. The aggregated net margin trading position stood at USD 31,784m, down 0.3% week-on-week, while the TOPIX 500 index rose 2.6% over the same period. In total, 852 stocks saw margin loan positions increase while 1,122 saw decreases. The largest net long position was held by Kioxia (285A JP) at USD 6,426m, followed by SoftBank (9984 JP) at USD 1,365m and Fujikura (5803 JP) at USD 802m. The biggest weekly increases in net margin loans were in Furukawa Electric (5801 JP) at +USD 4,315m (+951.2%), Sumitomo Electric Industries (5802 JP) at +USD 439m (+327.8%), and Nitto Boseki (3110 JP) at +USD 359m (+366.3%), while Kioxia saw the largest decrease at -USD 823m (-10.7%).
