Abstract: We analyzed Hong Kong stock buyback activity for the week ended May 8th, based on HKEx daily reports. Total repurchases amounted to HKD 3,003 million across 77 companies, up 26.2% from HKD 2,379 million the prior week. China Hongqiao (1378 HK) was the largest buyer at HKD 1,202.8 million, representing 0.95% of its free float, followed by AIA (1299 HK) at HKD 453.9 million and Xiaomi (1810 HK) at HKD 200.0 million. Over the past 30 days, AIA led with HKD 4,390 million in repurchases, ahead of Xiaomi at HKD 2,159 million and Tencent (700 HK) at HKD 2,002 million, with total 30-day market buybacks reaching HKD 14,123 million across 108 companies.
