Hong Kong Buybacks Weekly (Apr 3rd): Tencent, Pop Mart Intl, AIA

Abstract: We analyzed Hong Kong Exchange buyback activity for the week ending Apr 3rd, covering 82 companies with total repurchases of HKD 4,608 million, up 23.7% from HKD 3,724 million the prior week. The number of companies buying back shares also rose 60.8% week-on-week. The top three repurchasers for the week were Tencent (700 HK) at HKD 1,202 million, Pop Mart Intl (9992 HK) at HKD 697 million, and AIA (1299 HK) at HKD 654 million. Over the trailing 30 days, China Hongqiao (1378 HK) led with HKD 1,823 million, followed by Tencent at HKD 1,497 million and Pop Mart Intl at HKD 1,297 million, with total 30-day buybacks across 102 companies reaching HKD 9,410 million.
